Murder on the White House Lawn

I am about 1/3 through a very large map of the White House and grounds. My progress is steady and I have no plan to slow down anytime soon. It is very large and may need some slimming to make it play well.

I have often wondered what it would be like to work with others, and would really like to give it a try. Only problem is that I am somewhat of a control freek when it comes to things being done right. With that I simply mean that all brushes are properly caulked, consistant WU dimensions, ect.

I have offers to anyone who can work closely with msn. These include the standard recognitions. If I can get a crew together that has time to dedicate, I will pick up some web hosting and develop a site.

The available work includes building interiors, texuring, and possibly maps of the more popular buildings of the capital. First to come to mind is the Senate building, the Treasury building, the Pentagon, ect. I don't mind doing the lod and other dreaded items if you are willing to put forth a genuine effort on your part.

I have a very nice audio recording set up and intend to score this sucker well as there never seems to be audio moods on post market maps.

These buildings are well documented and I will even complete a reference package for you if you like.

Other needs will be skins and the such, but there are so many out there that I bet we could find whatever we need, and at the same time make some skinners happy. Or at least get borrowing permission from them.

If I get the same response from the mapping community that I have gotton from fellow players, this wil be very popular, even if only with the remaining diehard mohaa fans that are left.

Hit me up on msn and post here if you have interest or even just a few comments, tips or potential leads.

-Cheers-

Well I have made some decent progress. After showing the map to a few people, I have recieved fairly good responses. Only problem is that the grounds are too large, and to make the multiplayer map playable, I may have to block off a lot. However I will make the whole White House grounds available for single player if all goes well.

Still interested in building a team, and would love some help, but it seems unlikely. This will be the only map I will see through completion. Then like many others I will search out a new game to work on. This is only because you can not stop progress. I still love mohaa and plan to play regularly.
Slasher are you going to go to bf1942? If not what is up with your forum? I stop by often and there is nothing new.

Ok, so today we are going to get the COD editor and I hope to get rolling on my White House map. I have not seen the editor yet and don't know how different it will be, but so far the word is that converting my old .map into it will go "ok". That of course is yet to be seen. Probably no patches, lod, models, or shaders ect, but the brushes should be fine.

So using the older version I had backed up some time before my disaster should save me loads of time.

Anyone interested in making the jump to COD is welcome to help out, as we will all be somewhat noobs.

I am be updating my website as quickly as possible to reflect the COD image, but I plan on trying to release my level in as many different game formats as possible. Right now I am hoping to have versions for MOHAA, MOHSH, MOHBT, BF1942, and COD. I am also going to try to use several older games as well if they can handle it.
