Do you live by jet airways?

Do you live under a jet airway? I do, they are low enough that you can see them but high enough not to be a sound problem. Around 5 pm or so about every 5 mins there are commercial jets that are descending to land at CVG.

Also I live under a path for a local coporate airport for a company my dad works for, these are just Lear's but still they come in fast and low.

I also live under a route the military uses occasionally. One time 3 or 4 transport helicopters came over very low, you could really see detail, if not for glareshields on the windows with a very low powered microscope...err...bincoculars(sp???) you could see the pilots. I mean these things are LOUD!!! The past two days there has been some movement of aircraft, last night several fighters and a C-5 or a B-52 came over, and these things are LLOOUUDD!! :!: :!: Than this afternoon several F-16's shot overhead in formation at what would be my guess about Mach 1.25, than just a few minutes ago a fighter flew overhead , farther up but had just broke the sound barrier and followed by a sonic boom, than several fighters and a C-5 or B-52 flew over. I ran outside and it was a deafing sound, but I could make out a C-5 or a B-52 and several fighter escorts by the strobes and beacons.

  No, there's a military base about 30-40 miles away. Near the Jefferson proving grounds, probably never heard of it.

Probably pretty noisey there...

I was talking with my friend and he said he heard the fighters too. He said he could make out a fighter squadron of about 5 or 6 at about a 1000 feet, although it was too dark to see what types.
