How are the reviews going?

Since the MRB died @ TMT due to the fact that I didnt have support from a certian admin...lol...I was wondering how the reviews where here. Does .map have a board? Do they want a board? Do they want someone to head it all up?
I would love to keep it alive at TMT. I had the guys and the format all picked out. I just could not get help on the admin site to get it incorperated into the site the way it really needed to be.
So whats the status here? What the future of reviewing here?
I would be really interesting in discussing this further here:)

Well I promised Surgeon to do a couple of reviews. I don't know if he wants something like a review board but I think it would be great. This site could get the lead review site on the web, but we're going to need more reviewers than the ones currently 'active'.
I think it certainly would be a good idea to start a kind of reviewing board here. Don't know Surgeon's opinion though.

Gen D - I've been talking to JV_map about this - We think a single reviewer per map would be a better idea - but having a team of reviewers would mean we could get a lot of maps reviewed...And if u or JV wanted to organise this team all the better.....

I asked you every week for 7 weeks to send me the reviews and i would HMTL them onto the website.

Nope, it is 100% correct. That was not in ref. to you. Flip and I argeed on a format and he was then off to make changes. I know you tried your best to help me out but I was waiting on changes promised plus with my workload, as I told ya, really just didnt have time for new format. Trust me I really appreciated the offer;).
Then I found out from him that he would rather only have one person do it and he was looking at the same time for a replacement for me since my idea was to have a group from the community and again he had one in mind.
hehe...thats the short story...lol. Hey, no biggy, I was just thinking of another good Mohaa/Spearhead site that had really good potential on running a MRB for the community but it appears that .map is looking for only one or two members on a MRB. Thats very easy to understand because its hard to keep even a good group of guys active.

No i'd be willing to have as many reviewers as want to review maps - We just thought that an individual review could be given more depth if just one person reviewed the map - on the downside it may lead to slight bias depending on the map / reviewer but it would mean we could get through alot of maps rather than 1 or 2 a week..
Individual reviews also means that we're not relying on 8 people trying to review the same map - if one or two people don't get their review done, we'd still have 6 maps reviewed.......

Perhaps there's some way to arrange a score correction. For example let one person write the review and make the score table from the opinions of a couple of reviewers. Needs some good organisations though.

Something i'm not great at being at the moment....
At the moment a compromise might be for other reviewers (if they wanted to) to post a review in the forums and link to that topic from the review ....

Hmm yeah perhaps that's a better idea.
At least easier to manage and probably more productive.
