Could be a driver issue.... did you test them independently or were you playing over the network?

right...could maybe be router issue (driver possibly?) on the slow machine's side.

Actually I was thinking maybe he was using one pc as client and the other as server

Make sure both computers have the same DirectX version, the same video drivers, the same desktop properties, the same memory, and the same game settings. Under advanced in the game, one may be set on 16 bit color and the other on 32 bit color (32 bit is slower).

oh, but you should check to make sure the routers have the same settings. I don't know anything about a home network so I don't know if you can adjust data transfer speed.
Do exactly as tltrude said. Make sure the pc's settings are the same. Also try forcing model's.

well tnx guys 4 replying.
both pcs have the exact same settings in windows and mohaa, and in mohaa's options i set everything 2 low except music 2 medium .as i said earlier i have 4 pcs on this network and i use the fastest one as a server (not one of the mentioned pcs).this network is made by cables connected 2 a 5 port switch not a router .i have directx 9 on both of them 2 but i forgot 2 mention last time that the rpms of the hdds are different the fast =7200 and slow =5400.although this looks like a possible reason i think that 5400 is well above enough 2 play it at a good speed.i did try testing them independently in a one man server and same result

.in both pcs i have a built in vga card set 2 32mbs.i have no other clue on how 2 fix this .plz help me cause sometimes the slow pc becomes unplayable and i hate throwing lan parties and having ppl 2 wait

.if i forgot 2 mention something important about the pcs' settings plz tell me.tnx again 4 all ur help every1

well its almost another week now and the fps problem is getting worse,im starting 2 think its somethin wrong with the pc itself.crashed several times while in mohaa during network play, and a few other games(not as frequent as mohaa though).and im starting 2 go crazy

from talking 2 myself here ,doesnt any1 have an idea of how 2 fix this problem?

well try some tune ups. Do a disk cleanup, disk defrag and remove extra files you don't need.

You've probably thought of it already, but just in case, check with the manufacturer of your motherboard to see if any chipset driver updates are available. If so, after installing them, be sure to reinstall the drivers for your other hardware.
It just seem's alot of people often overlook the INF drivers and focus on the vid card and sound card, but from my own experience running Win98se, when I upgraded to DirectX 9.0b my system became nearly useless, Blue screened if I as much as looked at my keyboard funny untill I updated the chipset drivers.
BTW, what are the actual system specs? And have you checked to see if theres any known compatibility issues with any of your hardware components like a Santa Cruz card? (Seems lot's of games dont like their cards for some reason as an example)

back on topic, formatting might help sometimes your computer is just full of crap that just slows everything down, like porno, although porno is good
