Spearhead / Ubersound Work Around!! HELP!!!

This is for SPEARHEAD:

I am running a server side mod on a dedicated server where players can play the single player mission maps as multiplayer Team Match. The maps work great and I have it running some 24 of those maps between MOHaa and SpearHead maps all on a dedicated SPEARHEAD server version 2.15.

The problem that I am having with this is that when you run the single player maps as multiplayer you loose some sounds about some 15% of them. They are your stops, zings, explosions, dogs, the taunts, and some other minor sounds. However, the rest of the sounds do load up witch it does not make any sense that loads up some and some don?t.

The only way at this time to have everyone hear the missing sounds is to have the player download a 279k file witch is nothing but a hacked ubersound. I would like to find a way where player would not need to download the file.

Things that have been tried already and did not get the job done.

1.) Ubersound - For server side
2.) JV_Map?s Ubersound work around ? was created for MOHaa only will not work on Spearhead
3.) Pre-cashing sound scripts in map scripts

Cant anyone GURU out there provide a possible fix where the missing sounds can be called from the server so the client can hear them thus removing the need of downloading the hacked ubersound for the client?

Please help!!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Look for servers with the <TWZ> tags in front of the name if you want to get a clue as to what I am talking about here.

Also the {UDT-2} server is running this mod

I'm not positive about this, but I think if you change "loaded" to "streamed" in a local.master alias, the sound would be sent to the clients. If there were a lot of them, it would probably lag the server too.

well, you could just distribute the hacked ubersound with your mapfile so its not seperate. also, are you sure the problem effect everyone in game and not just you? it could be something wrong with your sound and not everyone elses.

I beleave you miss understood my post, but here its a shorter explanation.

There is no map file to distribute, Its SERVER SIDE MOD, currently running on 4 servers. The hack ubersound its already set for distrubution within those web sites stated above; and no its not only me since as stated SERVER SIDE MOD. Just want to make it a 100% server side mod.

o lol i read to fast. im sorry. yea u got a problem then lol. if whne u used the hacked ubersound it works fine i wouldnt fret about it too much, aslong as it works right ;) i wouldnt know how to fix it though, im a noob at that stuff. i could stillb e urs though. if ur sound file are currupted. do the same sounds work in other servers?

Ok one more clarification :lol: I am the one that created the mod thats running on the <TWZ> and {UDT-2} servers. Its not a problem with the hacked Ubersound. The problem that I want to resolve is the use the hacked Ubersound, I would like to do away with it so there would be a need to download a thing. This leads to the mistery question:

1.) Why 80% of the sounds laodup and why is that the Client side needs the hacked Ubersound to hear the other 20%.

2.) Is there a possible fixed via master script, scripting or any other means that will allow the 20% missing sounds to load up to the client without a hacked ubersound for the client?

I am going to make a wild guess at it . Is it true that if the sever and the client have a tik with the same name that the server tik will be used ? What if you used a tik name such as models/misobj/teaset.tik which I belive does not work anyway and you altered it to load the sounds you wanted will that work ?

WarTech what im saying is that it might be a problem with YOUR sound, and other people might not have the same problem. have someone else host a server see if they have the same problem.

Omniscient:

Its everyone who dont have the hacked ubersound. But you are invited to stop by any of the server so you can experience the problem in person. Then download the hacked ubersound from our site and come back to the game and it will clarified everything for your LOL :lol:
