i have noticed something about the url of members profile pages. Here is mine:

/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=548

the bit on the end that i believe shows that i was the 548th person to join the .map forums. this is because i noticed that the newest registered member (which i found on the index page has this as their profile page):

/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1165

but theres only 1147 registered users! (i dunno why this happens) also i found out phpBB sets a default profile. I typed this into my browser cos i was confused, expecting it to come up with surgeons profile but it came up with a blank profile. See for yourself:

/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1

blank profile? so i tried 2, and it worked so surgeons should be this:

/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2

so to find out ur order oof when you joined look at your profile page url and subtract 1. so mine would actually be the 547th member, not the 548th.

probably an old find, but the phpBB profiles are weird.

actually they weren't supposed to be links, otherwise i couldn't have made the ends in bold. i think the forum automaticly links url's

This is because some profiles were deleted, for example that of our only banned user and some duplicate profiles. In our earlier days some accounts may have been automatically deleted because the activation link wasn't visited in time.

ahhhh.......

you shouldn't have said about the banned member you've made me curious but it isnt my place to know, that's the mods

Users can't 'unregister' themselves, only admins can delete user profiles (and possibly hackers
