Fog

whats are good #'s to put in for a night time fog? like the fog in snowy park... an almost dark purple

The numbers represent a level of light. So the lower the number the less light will be present meaning that the fog will be darker in appearance.

is that just greyscale? or can you have color to it?

Na three numbers -> RGB color.
0.1 0.1 0.9
Would make a blue fog.

why are the numbers so small? 0.1 or 0.<something>... Usually RGB is 0 - 255

It are normalized values:
0 = 0, 255 = 1.
So 128 128 128 would be 0.5 0.5 0.5.
