sound problem

Hello,
hope someone can help,

I?ve made an obj-map where airplanes fly-by like in the V2 map,
the airplane fly when a player touch a trigger.
I change my ubersound like this

alias airplane3 sound/vehicle/M1_PlaneBy.wav soundparms 1.3 0.2 1.0 0.3 600 5000 weapon streamed maps "sfhiddenobjective"

sfhiddenobjective is the mapname.

In my script i have this for the airplanes:

flyby:

//***random flyby of plane
wait 1.0
thread global/bomber.scr::bomb 6
thread global/bomber.scr::bomb 7
wait 1.0
$player playsound airplane3
wait (randomint(180) + 60)

end

Why are there no airplane sounds?
I have already made a SP map with the same an there the sound is working correctly.

Is the line $player playsound airplane3 only for SP maps?
How can i make it,that everybody can hear the sound?

should be

alias airplane3 sound/vehicle/M1_PlaneBy.wav soundparms 1.3 0.2 1.0 0.3 600 5000 weapon streamed maps "obj"

Make sure the .wav file you're using is not in a pk3. Preferably remove the '3'-suffix, too (since number suffixes were originally intended for other purposes).

Btw instead of hacking the ubersound file, consider using the work-around method instead.

whats wrong with hacking the ubersound file as long as u dont mess anything up that came in it?

If you send your friends a map with a hacked ubersound.scr in it then that will be ok with your map but when they play another map with the same kind of sound fix and your ubersound.scr hasn't enable some sounds then when they play that other map the sounds stop working until they remove your pak . Or if they have another hacked ubersonds.scr in another pak yours may not work depends which one is loaded last . The best ways to do it is either put your sounds in a custom.tik and precache it in your map or if it is a mohaa map you can use the script.master method . If it is a spearhead map you can make a sound.scr and put it in the ubersound directory of your pak and it will work if you set the sounds up right .
