Can you use Paint Shop Pro 8 for changing the terrain lod

There is an option in the editor to make a tga image of your terrain. If you do that, you can edit that image in photo shop and then use it to make the terrain in radient. But, make a prefab of your current terrain first--just in case it doesn't work.

tom. itsnt it a tga for exported lod? easygen does use bmps for import/export, and more editors can handle bmps that tga. easy gne is kinda hard to use though.

I was wanting to know this cause I cant afford to go out and pay almost a months pay for some software.

yes u can use psp8 to edit terrain. create ur flat lod brush, save it as a tga, open it up, make ur terrain, and load it back in. no buying needed.

Well I have to buy PSP8, but its much less expensive than PS7

big hoss, dl the trial version of psp8 or what ever and crack it. either that or use easy gen and take the tutorial on nemisis site

My mistake Bjarne, I must have missed that when I was looking for info, I've only been using .Map for a few weeks. Havent done an extensive look over of this great site.

Well... to be honest: some tutorial names does not really tell what the tutorial is about unless you have some mapping experience already. So we dont get offended when guys sometimes miss a tutorial.
