Hey guys, I'm making an industrial/storage facility type map....this is my first one so take it easy on me....lol
I was just hoping somebody could give me some ideas since the rooms are quite empty and boring.
uhmmmm....one question...how do you post pictures and a file???

do u play counterstrike? if so take a look at cs_assault, thats a cool map that shud give some ideas. as far as room emptiness, put some piles of moxes that fell over or something, they take up spaces and fill the room. put some roof-ceiling trims window trims and door frames.

A basic system of accessible piping would be cool. Industrial? think of v2 rocket and how they did that level, and also (if you do have cs) think of the level omniscient stated.
Usually thinking of a setting for the level will help you fill it in more. For example, let's say i wanted to do a level about a Tank factory, I'd have rooms that would be in stages of creating tanks, tank part rooms, drawing-board rooms, storage rooms, etc.
But remember, try not to make everything complicated and really well detailed (this isn't like a home designer program or something that will be showed on HGTV

). Its for gameplay, always have that in mind and try to keep your level to the 'right amount' of 'space-fillers.'
More ideas?
Well if its a 'restored' industrial building (obj perhaps?) add some bombs... blowing stuff up is cool

. If it's destroyed... well, you could always keep to the explosives... and uh... ya.
and as of inserting images...
Above your text box for typing your message, you'll see buttons like:
'b' ' i ' 'u' 'quote', 'code'... etc. Click the button 'Img'. if you hold your cursor over it, it will show you how to insert an image.

there used to be a storage room in an apartment i once lived in in the basemet. it wat a buch of metal cages full of just stuff. each one had a padlock for it. u could try something like that if u want to. also use the lockers and make the rotating doors. give them a key/value alwaysaaway 0 and set the angle for them to open so they only open towards u.

Whos your Internet Provider, cos usually they provide with about 10mb's of space that you can use free of charge, if you look on your ISP's website, they might tell you how you can access your account of an FTP server, I used my space from BT (since i live in the UK) to put images that i upload to show on the forums

(you will need an ftp program btw like
www.flashfxp.com

I see that you have put em' on some space, i seriously recommend that you convert them from BMP to JPEG, BMP's are just pointless image files, they take up too much space, and are like hell to load!
