Well if the map is a dm/tdm you might want to save it to your dm folder instead. But if it is intended to be a SP map, I personally just put it in the maps folder. But to get it to run while its in the map folder, pull up your console and type in "maplist". This will bring up map bsp's. You should be able to see your map .bsp, double click on it and away you go. Also here are a couple tuts from a site I look at regularly for help as well as this one.

MBuilder creates a faulty bat file when it is supposed to copy the file in some cases, mine says

Code: Select all

Copy "C:\DOCUME~1\Bjarne\MYDOCU~1\MOHAA\maps\obj\dm\.bsp" D:\Games\MOHAA\main\maps
when it should be

Code: Select all

Copy "C:\DOCUME~1\Bjarne\MYDOCU~1\MOHAA\maps\obj\.bsp" D:\Games\MOHAA\main\maps\dm
... this is one possible error, just edit the line before pressing "Compile".

Another possibility is that you get severe compile errors so the BSF file cant be created... get any errors?
