Thanks JV_MAP,
Can I just make a segestion for an addition to your excelent compiling tutorial?
It gives great information and I would love to see a "final compile" dedicated paragraph.
I for one am still very confused as to what would be the 'final' compile setting. That is how should you set up your map compile for distribution. What extra options do you add ? I only recently found out, mainly thorugh your posts and tut, that only the BSP is needed for distribution.
To add to my confusion - In one part of the 'AI tips.doc' that comes with MOhRadiant it says -
If you don’t do a light compile with –extragrid, you are not getting a perfectly accurate idea of how long it takes for the AI to see an enemy.
Anyway, you are wise in the way of the Q3 engine and it would be nice if your tut delved deeper into that part of it.
Cheers,
Mirek

This thread is quite old

but the modtheather url don't work any more

and I've got the same problem. (If it is a problem) So how about it JV, like to share a secret. The answer might make it in to the Compiling Error List

Goodie! I still think it could be added to the compile error list though.
"Leaf portals saw into leaves" is caused by rounding errors in calculating the surface of non-axial planes. If you have a lot of brushes with sculpted surfaces (like Gensurf terrain), you are going to get a number of these errors. If you have little brushes with lots of clipping, you will get this error, too. It's harmless. Don't worry about it.
Where this error has some significance is when you know you didn't do any brush sculpting. It still won't hurt you, but means there's something going on you didn't know about.
