I have just spent almost two months in the Azores, on an island called Pico, basically a huge volcano in the middle of the atlantic.

Before I left I offered to help out Surgeon on the COD site, Surg if you still need my help drop me note, will happily help out as much as I can.

I saw the Hood map, lovely work guys, the ship was beautiful, loved it :)

So is anyone still mapping for Mohaa ? I have had a while to think about what I hope to produce, was gonna do it for COD but have not got my hands on the game yet so maybe will do it for mohaa.

Anyways, hope your all well

Jack :)

Hey, I too spent time on Azores..nice small islands with great little restaurants, lots of caves to explore, and a real neat water system running inside some tunnels. But I must say the water was damn cold!
Did you visit all the wine fields? How bout that swimming hole made in the side of the rocks on the beach??

P.S. sorry for off topic post. Flame away!

Hey Bob, how did you end up in the azores ?

The water is freezing but really clean. My girlfriends parents live there, they own a few vineyards, I drank mucho wine, very nice too.

I got attacked by wild dogs almost everytime I ventured outside so I took to carrying a big stick :)

The island I stayed on was pretty empty, tiny towns, then I found a place called Horta, took the ferry over there and loved it, found a supermarket, didnt think they existed there, was soo happy to find some food I actually wanted to eat, funny how something as simple as a supermarket can make your day.

The AirForce sent me to inspect a SatCom and Radar on Terceira (Lajes Field). Spent more time eating, exploring, and sightseeing than working...! hehe
I wish I could have visited more, as the people were unbelievably friendly, food was garlicee (yummee), and the weather was great.
This was all back in 1975, years before the 1980 quake hit..
Here is quick link of pics to enjoy..
