Hitlers bunker

Post by Digibite »

Hiya,
im making a new map for MoH:AA,
its going to be a replica of the bunker that hitler used during WW2
now my question is;
- is it tolerated in some ways;to build a map based on the bunker where Hitler made his warplans and killled himself???

Yup its tolerated and it's been done a few times, i even started a map myself where the objective was to kill hitler, but i never finished it.

Yeah originiality for a mohaa maps these days is preety limited I don't even think of doing anything based from events in the WW2 era as most have been covered, just look at how mnay versions of omaha there are floating around. However doing something thats allready been done isnt allways a bad thing just make sure yours has some originality to it and its better than its predessors.

You double posted by the way so you may want to delete one of them

Actually I don't think there is any shortage on unused real war references... there are LOADS of WWII references on the Internet... but the famous battles have been done do death, thats correct ;)

Jus look for 5 extra minutes, and a tip is to search for local history: depending on where you live naturally... but it WAS a World War after all, so most places have war references in some way.

Good luck!

Theres plenty of battles out there to be made. If you do the bunker maybe include the building that surrounded it, sure you will be able to find an over head view somewhere to show you the real layout.

I made a start on another famous battle, not gonna say which one it is yet, I dont think anyone made it already, heres a couple of screenies, and theres no prizes for guessing the battle but all your ideas are welcome.

Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Yeah... I guess there aren't a lot of people on any of the sides with happy memories of any war. :?

But if not for mapping, but just to learn something: ask him about it...
