Yup... most stock maps feature z-fighting to some extent.

I see. That is the first example that I've seen the entire time I've been playing. It was unexpected because of it being a stock map.

It's when you can see brushes intersecting, or something like that lol

whne u have two brushes overlapping the same arrea it will get kinda fuzzy sparkly kinda. what u can do it hollow out a box and look at the sides, thats why ppl say not to use hloow a lot, or use csg with it.

Well its not in my maps. I learned to mitter my walls when I started mapping and to not put other brushes overlapping. I had seen some z-fighting in Southern France the other night and asked if anyone else had noticed it.

That reminds me of this thread

The pics aren't working anymore :( but if you look really carefully in mohdm6 at the big stairway you'll find the floors of the stairway 'platforms' don't touch the walls, i.e. there is a gap between the floors and the walls.

there's also one in destroyed village, beside the church on the left.

and omaha beach SP has a terrain patch sticking out in the trenches.

if you play the moh Rising Sun its the level your running around a village, its the second or third level. there is a lot of that 'z-fighting' on the ground and in some of the buildings. (overlaping brushes)

This is unreal. Doesn't EA test there maps before they release games? I mean I thought they'd wanna have everything perfect before they started mass producing the games. I mean come on, they could always ask us gamers to test them, and look for things that need fixed lol. Cause we are the ones that find the mistakes.

At the time you find the mistake you've already paid for the game and EA have made their money

Yeah thats true. I'm just glad my fellow mappers work much harder in trying to make they're maps so great. Which includes much testing.
