I have heard mention of changing entity sizes using free scaling, or I thought I had. Could someoen tell me if it is possible to change the sizes of static entities and how to do it.
hmm as I type i seem to recall an entity properties window... perhaps I should investigate more... ah well... alreayd started typing, any advice on scalign entities would be appreciated.
I tried using free scaling but it doesnt seem to work, is it only for brushes? Cause I really can see the point in using free scalign o nbrushes.

Hey Splaetos i dont think i have had the pleasure of welcoming you to .Map yet, so welcome to .Map.
Also i would like to point out for future reference that when you solve your own problem i dont think deleteing the post is a good idea. State how to solve your own problem just like you did, but try to use the edit button which i know you see there and edit your previous post. This helps keep the forums clean, Less server space is needed, and prevents the dreaded double post. We hates the double post the double post is trixy!! Get it my precious?
Remember there are a few of us here that read every post on every topic. And there is no need to respond to this one.
THanks

Now if i only had a dollar for every stupid problem i had
Dont worry though M&M i think we were sorta on the same page, like trying the search function first for minor problems and inquiries. Im just being more diplomatic about it.

What is a stupid problem?
Is that like something that smart people instantly are born with the knowledge of, and others must find out in other ways?
Not for nothing, but people come to this forum often with problems that some people might think of as 'stupid' but for them it is a problem. A problem is a problem, it has no intelligence quotient, and any problem one person encounters, it is likely that a set percentage of others will also encounter that problem.
It was a stupid sort of obvious question, and I say that willingly enough because I, myself asked it. However if someone else asked it of me, I dont think I would think it stupid, I would think they just overlooked checking something, and did not realize that the entity window comes with a preset scale key.
There are no real comprehensive guides for someoen who jsut picks up radiant and starts mapping, this site is the best one I have found, but it still involves hours of searching through posts.
Thats said, this is a great forum, you guys do excellent work. I find that reading some of the 'stupid' posts help most at times though, cause you pick up some little tricks that you had not seen before, and that more advanced topics overlook talking about.

Hey Splaetos could you replace the word stupid in there with minor and forget that this whole thing every happened. I think thats what he meant by it anyways.
But overall i think you get the idea and i am glad we could help you with your "minor" problem

And dont be afraid to ask questions cuz you are right someone else will log on do a search and maybe they will see your post and will have found an answer.

I wasnt taking offense =)
I jsut think its the stupidest things that you overlook that can be the most infuriating things in the world =)
Sorry for the redundant discourse =)

Smart people ask "dumb" question. If you don't know, U don't know.
You got to put your ego aside when learning.
But the teachers need to have tact. Something very odvious to them is not always odvious to the noobie.
Being belittled for asking a question is something that should not be done here. Its been done to me so I know.

I would like to say that sometimes it is hard to put into writing, what is on your mind!!

So sometimes things people say in writing can be taken completely out of context, just from two different attitudes, moods, or even fatigue. I simply set back and guzzle a beer if I dont care for a comment, then laugh and go on.
Besides I dont think anyone in this thread was really that mad to begin with.

cause Splaetos found the answer right away,if u look at the times of the posts,he found the solution in 2 minutes .in other words HE solved HIS own problem in TWO minutes ,and 2 cover it all up
he wrote:ok im retarded ignore me
so even he recognized it was a stu.....err ... minor problem

.im no pro ,im just a newbie like him and still doing my 1st map (which doesnt seem 2 ever end) and usually i have problems like these, sometimes u just get blinded 2 something which is right in ur face .i hope that cleared it the
