I am not new to mapping for MoH:AA. I stopped mapping about half a year ago. And a week ago I was bored and picked up the mapping again.

And then I run in a problem. I want to use as much costum textures as possible. Now I got a very nice texture for the sky. I want to make it in MoH:AA but I can't figure it out how. I found the script and textures for the existing skys. But they don't make sense to me. Could you guys tell me how to make a costum sky? I am out of options that I can think of ...

Hi Psycho! Back again! :D
there are several threads about custom sky textures, why not use the search button?!
Hopefully u have your 6 images (one for each face of the sky "cube", then look at e.g.: http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~map/mohaa/ ... highlight= ,
http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~map/mohaa/ ... highlight= or
http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~map/mohaa/ ... highlight=!

Ok I have got a new problem :D . I have in Photoshop 7.0 but how can I crop a image to 512*512? I know how the cropping works but I never know how big my square is. I see that you can give the crop height and width but nothing happens when I fill those things in.

maybe there'll be someone with an English PS7, mine is German, but i give it a long shot...
open menu 'image' and there 'image size'. below u'll find two checkboxes: 'keep aspect' (changing width will change height as well) and 'recalculate image'. if your image does not have same height and width, uncheck the first, else leave it checked. then check the 2nd and u can enter a new number of pixels. If it was unchecked, u would just change the resolution. Hope this helps... the menu names might be a bit different, though...

Ok I got all my things now. Only the sun blinds you when you look at it. This is not good because the sun is almost behind the horizon. So how can I change that? I'll post a screen of it later on!

In worldspawn, enter-

sunflaredirection

And then enter x,y, and z values for where you want it come from.

Yes I already got the sun direction. Its in the same position as the sun in the sky texture. But its to bright. As said before it blinds you wich it shouldnt be doing it because the sun is almost behind the horizon. Anymore ideas?

The third time is a charm, as they say.

Have you also tried using

sundirection?

I just remembered that Crunch has written an excellent tutorial on sun direction. You'll find it here- http://www.freewebs.com/crunch/tutorials.htm
