it stays here for hours

the only thing i have in my map are stairs with hand rail (multiple 50 sided bars...about 30)....an organ piano (around 20 50 sided pipes).....5 lights....and that's about all.....also texture

wot's the problem :? :?: :?

The vis compile normally does take a long time, unless you put it on "-fast". You can also speed it up by making your steps "detail" (hot key Ctrl + Shift + D). That turns the brushes green in the 2d window, and they will be invisible to the vis compile.

The problem is that you have 30 50 sided brushes that's 1500 sides x 2 faces per side= 3000 faces on those stairs and another 2000 faces for the pipes.
You should make them detail as tltrude suggested. Then you can watch your visdata size drop as well.
