radiant light question

if i wanna light up a big room without putting a whole bunch a lights in....i apply the radan light thing

BUT

do i select all the walls from the room.....and apply it...or just apply it directly to worldspawn without anything selected

To apply worldspawn settings you need to select one of your sky brushes then hit N.

You should then apply some ambient light

K/V
ambientlight
7 7 7

and also you need some sunlight

K/V
suncolour
50 50 50

play around with these settings until you find something you like.

If you don't have a skybox, any wall will do. No need for suncolor if you don't have one. Ambientlight will brighten your shadows--7 7 7 is still pretty dark, but not black.
