ladder help

Post by chorizo »

erm.....lemme say this short......i climb my ladders from the side :?
very strange.....
i put 180 degres.....and i can only climb it from the side.....and not completly either
my ladder is oriented south (wot i mean by south is.....if u zoom out of the XY view completly.....it's oriented south of that window)
does anyone know wot do to???
does the size of the ladder matter???
my rails are 3x3 wide and 478 long
and my steps are 1x1 wide and 20 long
also....i followed nemesis' tutorial for the ladder.....my ladder texture is over my steps exactly as on the pictures....
any suggestions?

90 or 270 instead of 180, perhaps.

Well... I'm not entirely sure, but...

I just took a quick look at the radiant. It looked like 180 degrees was pointing east. If your ladder is facing south, like you said, and its angle is 180 degrees, MOHAA probably thinks your ladder is facing east (180 degrees) instead of south (270 degrees). That would also explain why you can only climb the ladder side-ways.

I always have to pause when I'm making a ladder, too. Either 270 degrees or 90 degrees is what you need for the ladder. The angle needs to either be the way the ladder is facing, or the opposite. I can't directly remember. I think it's the latter.

Look at your ladder from the top in the 2D view.
