Could one of you guys that own spearhead do me a favour and take a look at my map. I am using leafgroups and would like to know how the frame rate is on other peoples machines.
You can download the pk3
HERE
Any feedback would be very welcome, theres a lot of errors that you dont need to worry about, frame rate is what I am concentrating on.
Cheers.

i would have helped if ur pk3 size was a bit smaller,as 5.41 mbs is outside my normal dloading range which is at a max of 4 mbs (i do make exclusions from time 2 time though) dloading this map will take a long time on my 56kbs ,if u can try 2 reduce the pk3 size a little id be glad 2 help ,i can also test in on my lan and c how the fps comes out with many pcs playing on ur map .i will try 2 dload it anyways when im free but something like this would probably take 15 mins 2 dload

so the more u reduce it the more likely i can respond faster .or u can just wait 4 some1 with a faster connection

I downloaded the first .pk3 you posted, and as far as fps are concerned, everything is fantastic for me.

Thanks Axion, I can do with all the input you lot can throw at me.
I know some ladders and stuff are not working but I will sort them as I get to them, just trying to get the final layout of the buildings correct, if it gets laggy I will have to rethink what I am doing.
Thanks again.

well, fps wasnt that great.it was super on low details but when i maxed the details the fps was down 2 30 -50 (im running a geforce 4 mx 440 64mbs)
i also spotted a few problems ,im not sure if that is due 2 the removal of the custom files.here is a screenshot of one of them.its very dark 4 some reason but at least u get an idea of what i saw

there is this red flying bomb place in the middle of nowhere.
there were other screen shots but they were very dark so i didnt post them up.
anyways the other problems i encountered are
when i fell into the water,i didnt die.i think u should kill the player if he falls in the water since there isnt any way he can go up again, also a few rails would help players not fall into the water.
there was a missing texture of a pic in a frame on the wall,it was in one of the rooms (maybe due 2 missing custom files)
one last thing, the fog was very heavy ,i could barely c anything.
but the map looked cool,it was a little big and i couldnt find its end because of the heavy fog ,but i can c that alot of work was spent in it.
i liked the firefight between the ai's ,really cool

Thanks guys. M&M, yeah the missing textures were because I removed the custom files, that bomb in mid air was just so it didnt interfere with my editing the buildings, if you fall in the water you will now die, railings for not falling just be more careful. I had to fog it because of the fps, once theres say 10 players theres really only a couple of routes through so there should be some decent action to be had, couldnt do much to get the fps higher save removing some buildings but I wasnt willing to do it, I hope it holds up well enough in the heat of the action.
Thanks for your comments, all very welcome,
Jack
