You could try ambientlight. That will give you the light, but without the sun...
ambientlight//30 30 30

is there a sunflare called moon or something similar?it would be so cool having a full moon in the sky

.and does any1 know what other sunflares exist?i want 2 know them all (they might be real useful) but i cant find a tut that has them explained.

You can get rid of the sunflare by calling it "none" and still have the directional light source (like the sun). I guess if you changed it to a bluish light, say 65 65 70, then it would look like moonlight.

If you really want good ol' Mr. Moon to make an appearance, you going to have to use a custom sky that has a picture of the moon somewhere in it.

ya, but if you did that, axion, then wouldnt you have to go through all the bs and work of hunting down the right coordinates to get the 'moon' and the lights lined up

Yep, but that's the price for paying attention to detail.

u could just put a sun with out a flare liek what he said, but i thing 55 55 70 would be a better blue.

Sure, 55 55 70 would look bluish, but it would also be way too bright for moonlight.
I wouldn't go any higher than 40 with any value.

As u might have seen yourself, there's a moon1.tga in pak2.pk3/textures/sprites.
Btw, just there, you will also find the sunflare images used by the sunflare.shader (in pak0.pk3/scripts) which is called by the pak0.pk3/global/lensflaredefs.txt...
Anyway, does anyone know if and where this moon was used in Mohaa?
I failed in introducing an additional custom 'lensflaredefs.txt', which would allow a new value for key sunflarename. I could edit the original file in the original pk3, but this can't be the solution of course.
Using a simple brush with that moon texture stuck to one of the skybox walls will be crap, it'll change its look depending on your relative position...
Any ideas?

Couldn't u get the moon texture and stick it on one of the night sky textures and make a custom skybox texture set.
btw the 65 65 70 was just a set of values off the top of my head that I knew would b relatively blueish - it wasn't thought out or tested at all

yes, as a last solution I'd do it this way, if I needed a moon, but I just found those files and I was wondering how they could be edited or replaced...
