I want the lights in my featured rooms to be high, somewhat wide angled spotlights shining down to illuminate the room...

so I make them... 4 white one red t oaccenuate my cernterpiece ;)

I give them all light 500(probably go higher but I wnt to see it first)
angles 90 0 0
spot_angle 45

AND THEY DONT WORK!!

isnt 90 0 0 straight down?

Does Radiant still hate me or am I doing something wrong?

angles/90 0 0 is straight down. spot_angle/45 (which is default) is fine.
What do u mean with 'they don't work'?
maybe a typo (like angle/90 0 0)?

ive checked and rechecked the syntax...

by dont work I mean there is NO light where they should be.

I dont get it

try to copy/paste such a spotlight into a fresh map and see if it works there. if not, send me this zipped map and I'll try to find out.

it looked like it worked i nthe other map. Alot of ambient light around but I could clearly see the lights effects, so im pretty sure it was there.

so why would it work i none map and not another?

-90

Try adding this.

Key: overbright_range
Value: 1.05

There are some lights like that in the "test_firefight.map"--in the docs folder of MOHAATools.

well,if it works in radient it should display a small line coming out of the light enity in the direction of the spot (the angles) u indicated.so play with them until u get it fixed. revise the angles again,u must have made a typo or something ,i think having the key in the entity window in capital letters would make it not work ,am i wrong?(happened once only)
