Corona question

Post by Innkeeper »

Is there an easy way to prevent corona from being visible from inappropriate views in a light fixture? I noticed that the maps that come with MOHAA have not figured out the solution. Most of the time, bulbcovered models are high and you don't notice it. But in spectator mode you can get above them and see the problem.

The only solution I have come up with so far is to scale the corona to 0.5. I have created my own lamp shade similar to bulbcovered and if I keep the bounding box from extending through the shade this will work. From viewpoints that you should the corona, it would look a little better if it were larger. But not seeing it from behind the shade is worth it.

It could be that this all has to do with the fact that I am using a voodoo card. Lots of stuff just doesn't look quite right. :(
