So you didnt take my advice huh? Well sometime i like to go off on a miriad of topics for no apparent reason and now seems to be a good a time as any. 8 am on friday morning....8 am what in the heck am i doing up at 8 am......no matter on the the real story here.
Right now i am experiencing some technical difficulties with mohaa, Ok so I lost one of my MOHAA discs, Spearhead has gone south and i cant seem to repair it with the repair funtion when i insert the disc and i was too lazy to ever go out and buy BT. Now considering im too lazy to ever go and spend 5 bucks to get replacement discs with EA i find myself falling further and further into the pit of Dispair. But wait what is this?
A savior perhaps? It seems that for $40 dollars US i can get all the replacement discs i need and get Breakthrough while i am at it. So i ask you good people what do you think, I am easily swayed by public opinion, good deal or no? Should i just get off my lazy, bloated, pale bottom and just get the replacement discs for 10 bucks or get the replacement discs and a new game for 40 bucks?
THanks All and i appoligize for taking up 2minutes of your time which you will never get back

Those two minutes I will add to the years I have wasted and cant get back
I got breakthrough, its hmmm kinda ok, I didnt play single player just played multiplayer no more than 10 times, it soon wore thin, laggy as hell and getting put in jail sucks big time, at least in an AA obj and you die you can still spectate which is more interesting than watching people do moth impressions with the light on the ceiling of the jail (its amusing watching them the first time, second is ok then its just plain boring)
The only half good thing was the mines, your in jail then you see someone trod on your mine, a small consolation for watching the mothmen.
So IMHO I would get the replacement discs and go buy a crate of beer with the $20 you save
edit: just noticed replacements were only 10, I say get a 6 pack and a small baggie for extra entertainment

Yeah just buy the replacements. The only reason for me buying SH and BT were to play the SP campaigns. Other than that I am constantly playing MP online. SH and BT rarely come out of the disk holder unless I feel like playin some SP for a bit.

I only play Spearhead TOW, you can respawn which is excellent and I love the bigger maps, ferocious battles, its superb
Once in a blue moon I play AA online but I forget the decent spots and the routes through and get owned, so I stick with what I know and love

Well you are talking to a guy who makes a living off of selling software....so how do you think i would respond to such a statement....lets see here.... NOT!!! Plus i want EA to have my money so they can continue to bring me such titles as Madden, MOHAA and much much more like Lord of the Rings so on and so forth.
But i appreciate the suggestions but i still get the distinct feeling i will find myself at my local vendor making this purchase. I just hope the single player is worth it

The SP isn't much different than the others, but I enjoyed myself during the 3 hours of playtime for each.

Well, I may have been a bit hard. Actually both BT and SH are great games... I just feel that they do not reach the level of control and immersion that you get in AA.

hmmm!!!i didnt remember typing that,i remember i typed ....oh i get it
Well you are talking to a guy who makes a living off of selling software
u could also sell (u know what) 4 a living ..(just kidding

)
i didnt think that what i said would offend u in anyway ,if i thought so i wouldnt have said it ,sry

.
but where i live ,software protection laws arent enforced (even that is an understatement).its very very rare that u can find an original game or program wiht some1(unless u go 2 a software vendor)
i will find myself at my local vendor making this purchase
we lack software vendors because of the outbreak of piracy ,even existing software vendors started selling this stuff 2 make business (a very few of them do).because its so normal here i didnt think u would get offended.u clould also look at it from another point of view ,dload the game and if u like it buy it ,if u dont then shift + del and just forget about it

Yeah M&M i hear ya. I aint truely offended if i understand correctly you from Egypt right? Cant imagine you have the luxury of walking down to your local Wal Mart and pickin up all the discounted software you like now can you. I can see it now The Blue Light Giza Special on isle one, er no i cant actually

. Just be smarter when it comes to things like that we got a nice lil community here and we like to keep it that way.

BT isnt so hot, but LIBERATION is awesome. It is far superior to regular no spawn objective(which suck). You can be rescued by your team, and if your team wont rescue you then get off the NOOB servers! Liberation offers excellent scenarios for strategy, with a slightly less frantic, and more carefull pace then the delicious frenzy of respawn objectives.
so to review....
no respawn objectives - suck.
respawn objectigve - rule!
liberation objectives - kick ass when your team isnt retarded.
seriously though, we wont play canal obj on our server because for some reason you cant tweak it to respawn. The liberation is great though.
oh and for any non objective board.... what are you crazy???? what are you some kind of wimp who cant get with the team and go blow s*** up? Not up to the challenge??? pffft
TDM is for practice or those who cant take the pressure!!
and thats my philosophy in a nutshell...

What?
Just change the line
to
in the mapscript and you will use respawn... or is there something strange with your server?

Hey, I'm in the same clan as Splaetos, just thought I'd respond since he may have missed this. (I think he's posted the question in another thread)
We change many maps to respawn all using that method you just described, but obj-Canal does not seem to work. We've tried our normal method which is copying the script, making the change, and loading the script into our respawn mod.
I think Splaetos has tried it several times, and no dice. I've also tried it. I repacked it time and again making sure I didn't make a mistake, still nothing. It's very strange because we run lots of maps with respawn on and this is the first one where it has not worked.
