When I compile my map it does not come up with any sound and does not ask what wepon i want to I end up runing around like a lunatic! I am new to mapping and there is probably some REALLY SIMPLE answer to this!
Also I made a map called door were I was testing a door. I compiled it. When into medal of honor and typed in the console: map door (like I do for all my different maps) and it says no door.bsp found? What is up with that???:?
Thanks for helping :)

Try to rename your map to test_door.map!

Try to place (right-click on the 2D window) a playerweapon on the map, right in front of your info_player_start.

Try to put your bsp inside the main/maps/dm folder (if it's a multiplayer map)

Try to use the search function, also, to find solutions for your problems  !!

btw: Welcome to .Map :D !

I will try renaming it. But the compiler does not seem to be making a bsp file (and it's for singleplayer (at the moment anyway))
Thank you for your help though!

Same what? No map? No bsp? You said you can get a ride in your map... :?

For SP maps, prefixing w/ test_ will do the trick for the sounds  !

Are you usind MBuilder for compiling (if not, you should...)?

Press Options and choose "pause after light". MBuilder will stop after the work done and you can read what's happen! Scroll up and see if the bsp was created.

If you're still stuck, there's 3 buttons on the top left "CHANGE"BSP option, VIS option, LIGHT option, click on the change bsp: Type:

>bsp.txt

In the change vis, type:

>vis.txt

and, in the change light:

>light.txt

After compile (you'll see anything), there will be 3 txt files inside your main folder. Read them carefully and/or post it here  ! To see if the bsp is was created, only the bsp stage is necessary.

Thanks

I'll follow what to do, but what do u mean by prefixing a w/ cos it doesn't work if you save your .map file as w/test_door

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm this is interesting at the end of compiling it says ******ERROR******* reading C://............test_door.bsp no shuch file or directory exists (and it says that twice!) Hope that helps! :)

Ok, so MBuilder (u r using?) is not creating the bsp!

That would be cool if you can post your compile here. I told you how to do it!

Again, if you're using MBuilder, you have to double-check your directories.

Prefixing test means, in Radiant, save your map as test_door instead of door. It will save a file (test_door.map) that you will compile!

Oh, and your map have to have at least 1 info_player_start, 1 light entity and NO LEAKS to make the bsp  !

And your link does not work 4 me.

well, probably the link doesnt work cause he is linking it from hes own harddrive, also i think its typed wrong :D .

anyways, that error means ur map isnt compiled ,what are u using 2 compile ,if ur using mohradients built in compiler then stop using it and dload mbuilder cause it is very buggy

Just sounds like u don't have your compiler configured right.

Do a search for yourmap.bsp through windows.
If u find it drag it over to mohaa/main/maps for SP.

If compiler is told to put it in the wrong folder and u have start the game after compiled enabled it won't see your bsp file.

Start MOH, pull down console "~" type maplist.

Yes, DL Mbuilder! And don't use spaces or caps in map name, use test_door.bsp

Try putting your game in main\maps\dm and start a multiplayer game?
Bet u have a choice of weapons. :o

I AM using...

did u try making the "door" map multiplayer?
i dont know how 2 insert weapons into a single player as i have never made 1,but u could add a weapon in ur map so u can pick it up after u enter it  .as far as i know ,single player maps dont have sound unless u prefix it with test like krane said e.g:test_urmapname.bsp
My compiler also makes 5 different files .bsp .bak .vis .min .prt is the ok?
yes thats normal.

(it only doesn't work with my door map)
how exactly doesnt it work?it doesnt compile?it doesnt load up in mohaa ?it loads up but quits after completing loading ? ............

note:try making the door map all over again,i dont think its that hard since its a very small map (door + room +light +player start)
