This map was a lot of fun to work on because I got to start a collaboration with a bunch of fantastic minds and produced a pretty fun map!! There is no basic setting except the fact that it takes place in a small storage facility....Thanks to BigHoss, Cheetohs, Axion, ziptie2k2, and Bjarne for helping create this wonderful and fun map!!

Download Storage Facility!!

This is a TDM?

If you guys want to try the map out on a public server, I could probably arrange that some weeknight.

Our server is rifles only, but I can be bribed to load up our practice mod with all weapons but shotgun heh.

Oh and rockets always shoot straight down =)

I havent looked at the map but your screenshots look nice.

I'm a rifleman, so rifles only is cool with me.

Rifles are cool, but only if there is a mod to slow down the M1.

Dont matter to me, although I personally like the good ole' thompson. this looks more like a run for your life fast paced mg map. But then again shooting poeple is shooting people.

modded rifles suck, the mauser is definately equal to the m1 when fired from a set position, or from a moderate distance with some cover. most boards are set up for the allies to charge(we play omaha usualy) so the terrain advantage offsets the weapons rate of fire nicely, making for, by far the most competitve omaha experience on earth! =)

Even on a map like renan though, where the allies defend, the axis can win with even teams, and personaly I LOVE renan on or server(with respawning on of course^^) its quite a nice challenge. The only mod on our rifles is 'nodrop' so no axis with m1's, which is the one thing that throws everything out of whack. I believe we have the only pure rifles server yet existing on moh:aa, although there are some with snipers or realism or modded rifles(I hate modded rifles, the differences in the rifles makes for the excellent gameplay)

You might be suprised how the mauser can come to dominate the M1 with an obscene amount of practice lol....

I cant understand why there would be a certain weapon only server. :? The only weapon that should be banned is the rocket launcher, for one reason, slowing the server. Every weapon has advantages and changes game play everytime someone switches. I love sniping high atop a roof, while having to worry about some creep coming up behind me with an mg to make my brains a pile of mush. I guess I'm just rambling, and I dont mean to offend anyone, just voicing my opinion. :D

Shotguns change the game for the worse.

I despise shotguns, they are so unbalanced they spawned ~~shudder~~ realism... to the point that it is now hard to find non-realism servers.

Also shotguns require little or no strategy or expertise, within a week of playing moh:aa I was dominating servers with 3:1 or better ratios using shotgun.

If it wasnt for servers that restrict weapons, I(along with many other people) would not play AA. Aside from shotguns and rockets, the rest of the game is pretty well balanced, or it was, until people decided realism was the best way to get rid of shotguns.

All that aside, changing weapons allowed on a server complete changes the dynamic of the game, it makes the game FAR more versatile, adding to its re-playability.

Now that I am mapping as well, weapon choices dictate to a huge degree, what I would ever consider designing. For instance, the map I am currently working on(liberation in a jail setting, mostly enclosed) I would never make if you could not restrict weapons. For the most part, on a stock server, this map would be much like V2, you would see an unending stream of shotguns. On the other hand, I believe it will kick ass on our rifles only server, and it would also be quite cool on the servers that remove shotgun, or even realism ones.

I'm a mauser man, and I stand by the validity of that statement wholeheartedly. The mauser owns, hands down.

That's the whole point I was trying to get across, if you're good with a particular weapon, then why set a server to only allow certain weapons?
I supose it's not a big deal since you have a choice whether to play that server or not. :D I personally play almost solely lan games with my buds, and were always changing things up, which is all the fun for me.

All this weapn discussin is eally a bit off topic, but I generally find all MOH:AA weapons very balanced, It's just that they become unbalanced in some maps ( like ShotGun in V2 ).
