A technical problem ?

The weirdest thing keeps happening.
I have slightly narrowed it down. What happens is when I'm playing mohaa , I am in the middle of a firefight, my game minimises and opens my email editor, now this causes me severe pain as it takes like 5 mins to recover and get back into the game.
I dont get disconnected from the game it just minimises and brings up whichever email program I have as my default in my internet explorer options, I know this as I have changed which email prog is default and it always opens that after minimizing the game.
I was thinking maybe a crazy combination of keys I am pressing while fighting caused it but its also happened while I am crouching and waiting for something to happen without touching any keys.
Its a really annoying problem, anyone have any idea's.
If I could just turn off having any email editor in the internet explorer options this might fix it but I dont think its possible, the list has a few email progs to choose from but no option to select NONE.
Why should internet explorer have anything to do with my mohaa ?
edit: This all happens when I am playing multiplayer online.

Wow, that is really uh... weird! Is this e-mail thingy running while you are playing the game already?

Is there a way it would be set to auto-alert you when there is activity with it, or does it just come up randomly?

Disable the services that runs that program before playing.

Before I join a game I turn everything off, I run a firewall, anti virus and gamespy when I am playing, everything else is off. I often wondered if I was somehow being hacked but I really have no clue.

i might be wrong but i think i know that this is,the most probable solution is:
u probably fiddled about in the accesiblity features earlier in the control panel .so when ur crouching (pressing ctrl or whatever key u chose) it activates the hotkey 4 ur defualt email program .try openening the accessibility features again and take a look around maybe u will find the solution there,if u c something about hotkeys or so try 2 disable it.if not then its helpful 2 keep in mind that after all attempts have failed,a reformat will always iron out any bugs in ur system

I would have to say thats the problem also there is sticky keys that might do it, also do you have any fancy multimedia keyboard that has special F key functions or buttons. Mine is like that and once I activatied the special F key thing and it did that when I pressed one of the first 4.
Is it happening with a certain level if so there could be a filename confiliction in the script files, posssibly??

And rename the messenger directory to never see it pop up automatically again.
And remember: Friends do not let friends run MSN.

Use
Trillian. Or any other of the multi-protocol supporting IM progs( Trillian supports ICQ, MSN, IRC, Yahoo and Netscape messenger in the same program ).

Its great to see all these ideas, sadly I still have not got to the bottom of the problem.
I forgot to mention that sometimes when the game minimises instead of opening outlook or whatever I have set in the ie options it opens my search thingy, as if I had pressed start/search on my desktop, frickin weird man.
Its the weirdest thing

It sounds like you may have gotten some spyware installed on your system by accident. Go download Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/, run it, and see if the problem persists afterwards.
