Spearhead Compiling????

How the heck do i compile for sparhead. I mean im still using mbuilder(the same as allied assault) and shoutldnt that work? The Tutorial isnt running and i need help!

yep, keep using mbuilder, make sure you have all the paths set right in it...

It will compile im just saying it tries to run the map with AA. :evil:

ok. so now i got the map made(followed tank tut) and everyime i try to play it in multi, it freezes up.

what exactly freezes up?
is it the computer ,or the game or the map gets u back 2 the main screen or...?
usually when anyhting like that happens then u made something wrong in the mapping process ,try doublechecking over what u last inserted .
i once added a rotating door and after compilation i got a BSOD ,and everytime i try 2 run the map i got a bsod ,when i returned 2 mohradient i found i placed the origin in the wrong place,probably something like that happened 2 u. :wink:

The game freezes up the pc. i moved the tank .bsp to main/maps/dm an everytime i try to run the map it freezes.

did u try revising ur map and recompiling ,or just recompiling ?
try 2 revert 2 a previous version of the map and copy what u recently added and c how it comes out

How Do you start a freeplay map w/o having to start the game immediatly?

i dont think i fully understood what u are asking but i will answer what i understood in hope u ment it .

i understood :that u want 2 start a ffa server with ur map after u finish the compile and telling mbuilder not to run ur map.
so
copy the yourmap.bsp to the main/maps/dm folder (mainta/maps/dm for spearhead)then open the game and make a server like u do normally.it should be in the maps window .or type devmap dm/mapname at the console and it should open up.

sounds to me that you have your mbuilder pointing to the wrong exe, try it again but this time point the game directory to SH exe and not AA.exe, you can type the location in manually in mbuilder, close it then reopen it so the chages are made.

as far as i remember .both .exes were in the same folder .or thats how i have it hear on my pc :? .but i gues he is telling mbuilder to run the game after compilation .so he should remove that option from mbuilder and then run it "manually" :wink:

remember now, your right, mbuilder boots mohaa, what i did was after compile, start sh, pull down your console, type in maplist and your bsp should be there, just double click it to start it. you can always make a pk3 to test it properly.

if u want mbuilder to start moh spearhead for u then choose run game after compiling option (or whatever it was) then edit the text on the bottom right window .
should look something like this
E:\MOHAAT~1\Q3map.exe" -v -gamedir E:\MEDALO~1
"E:\MOHAAT~1\Q3map.exe" -vis -v -gamedir E:\MEDALO~1
"E:\MOHAAT~1\MOHlight.exe" -verbose -final -gamedir E:\MEDALO~1
Copy "E:\MOHAA\.bsp" E:\MEDALO~1\main\maps
cd E:\MEDALO~1
"E:\MEDALO~1\MOHAA.exe" +set developer 1 +set thereisnomonkey 1 +set cheats 1 +set ui_console 1 +g_gametype 0 +devmap
edit the red word (mohaa.exe) to the execuatble of spearhead ,i think it was called moh_spearhead.exe
if u have spearhead in another folder then change the whole line :D
