Lighting Hue

when i do a quick compile of my map and go in...everything seems to have a mild pink hue. any ideas on how i can equalize the lighting color

Any screenshots? Also what is your ambientlight set at if you've set it. If you have something like 20 0 0 you'll get wierd colors.

i have the worldspawn ambient light set to 50 50 50
hers a screenie.....maybe its becasue i have put other lights in it yet?

maybe try setting ambientlight to 25 50 25 to offset the pink, I'm not sure though.

no not as yet...its pretty raw apart from ambient light and the one entity u can see. it maybe something as simple as the brick texture fooling my eyes , thats why ive ask for a second opinion.....is it pink or is it just me?

didnt look pink at first, but now you mention it the more i look at it the pinker it looks

Try these settings in worldspawn.
suncolor 65 65 65
ambientlight 17 17 17
sunflarename none
The pink is from reflected ambient light off the bricks. So, turning on the sun and turning down ambient light should fix it.

actually i have another problem...maybe u know this one.
When i create and arbitary sided brush....sometimes when i complie the map, i get strange texture stretching form one point to another..originating from the brush...is it common or am i making some sort of mistake
