ive never noticed this before? but is there a way to get off a ladder sideways?

Hold E and right or left arrow, I think.

jumping is a faster way 2 get of a ladder .but beware of the length of the ladder as the fall might be lethal

yes ive tried jumping and ur right it isnt pretty , gonna try the e left right thing

Do you mean 'e' as in your 'use key'.. because i switched my keys around so that they fit my style .... I have never heard this and it could become quite useful.

i dont think E (defalut use key) shouldnt do anything when u are on a ladder ,it gets u on the ladder if u arent on it though.the only thing u can do on a ladder is look left ,right and jump .i couldnt find any other action usable on a ladder (other than climbing ).
so probably the only way u could do it is by jumping ,but ud have 2 be careful with the distance .look left then jump will throw u away from the ladder in the right direction .so if u look right and jump u will jump away from the ladder in the left direction. its pretty neat 2 use when ur climbing and c some1 aiming at u .losing 5 or 10 health is better then losing all
