COD hypothetical ?

Who besides me has noticed that COD is like, a sibling to MOH? and that when PA comes out, MOH will be popular again?
COD is just the new MOH, (by Activision) and when another, new, MOH-style game comes out, everyone flocks to it? i'm linked by finacial constraints against COD, but i'm very attatched to MOH as well, heck, we can all make COD-style maps, it's the SAME DANG OLD THING! ok, even the editor is the same.
I like to not change games and my modding to every new game that comes out, if i could use COD models and textures etc on MOH, i'd love it! even the slightly simpler interface (triggers, some pre-set pathnodes) is nicer. but when you look at it, it's the same, anyone could use MOHRad and it's respective branches (making .TIK files and .scr's) to recreate the COD interface.
my main question here is, why does everyone buy and mod a new copy of MOH instead of sticking with good ol' MOH? i can see buying it, but not changing your modding to it.
