LoD Terrain

This problem just started recently. I've uninstalled both MoH:AA and Radiant more than once, so please don't suggest that...

When I have a brush selected and then go LoD Terrain > Create From Brush, the entire things just sort of screws up. The brush becomes bigger (in width and length), and moves above where it was originally, and on occassion screws up the texture.

This just started happening recently. I'm....not sure what to do. So, anyone know what my problem is, and what I can do about it..?

okay, LOD terrain is supposed to round itself to the nearest 512x512 chunk. so that explains it's size difference. look at the SH manual about it, it explains everything great. if you don't have the SH version of MOH i'll send it to your via email if you like.

it's also a paper-thin brush as well, so you don't need to worry about a little z-order change, it's completely normal. you can just right-click on an existing patch of LOD as well that's textured fine.

all this doesn't take long and it's totally normal for me. if it bothers you try removing entdefs.pk3 from all your folders and redoing it.

do you use any custom textures by any chance? i'm not sure why but i've heard vaguely of people having strange difficulties with their custom textures.

if this doesn't help, sorry m8, as far as i know there's no way around it.

Never used custom textures. And I don't think it's ever resized itself before...

I don't really remember it moving by itself either...but, thanks anyway, I guess.

Right it goes by 512x512 chuncks and moves by 64's and is 2 dimensional so it has no depth and can't be seen from underneath. I think it goes to 0 on the ZGrid so just scoot it back down or up. Not sure about the texture thing, :? or just try redoing the texturing.

if you're using a big brush z-axis wise it will. it ought to either mediate to the middle or go to the top or bottom, i've never figured tha out.

did you switch versions of MOH? because different SDK's deal with stuf slightly differently.

and unless you've always made sure your brush is 512/512 (or any multiple of that) then i really can't see any difference between yours and mine.

sorry.
