Is anyone aware of any copyright issues regarding editting stock maps and hosting them on a server? do i need to get the copyholders permission 1st??

i dont think u should have any problems with that.i have seen and heard of a few servers that run customized stock maps .also ,if the customization was by script then it would be ok .
or if ur still having trouble with it u could stick ea's name in it as the original author

So long as your not modifiying a product and reselling it your okay.
