A strange radiant issue.....

I have recently decided to get back into making a map for MOH. I get radiant up n running and all seems just fine. Then I begin to put entities in such as bushes, trees, light, lamps, etc. Well when I go to move these entities in the editor I cannot select them ! For some reason or other I cannot select the darn entities using the shift+click deal. I have to go to the menu and choose the entity view from the edit tab and then select the entity I want to move from choosing it in this screen. Really really a drag let me tell you ! So does anyone here know why all of sudden I am having this issue ? I have not change anything since running it before...

System specs are as follows...

P4 1.5 ghz
128 mb RDRAM
80 gig hd split in 2

-Game installed on default c drive location
-Radiant installed on D drive partition.
-Files copied over from C drive are in a folder on my d drive (all files and folders in mohaa folder are copied in a folder called radiant on drive d).

Paths for project settings are as follows....

basepath-- D:\MOH Mapping\radiant\
mapspath-- D:\MOH Mapping\radiant\maps\
autosave -- (blank)
rshcmd -- (blank)
entity dir -- code/
modelmask -- *.tik
moddir -- (blank)

I have had this setup before and was able to select models and/or objects before with no trouble at all. Something is awry and I cannot figure it out. Any help would be appreciated ....

...and yes entdef.pk3 is also located in the proper location in Radiant folder on D drive.

Thanks in advance,

The "entdef.pk3" goes in MOHAA/main. But, your problem could be the little eyeball icon on the right. I use the plain one, but there are three choices for how the editor controls are set up.

Also your 'radiant.ini' file may be corrupt. That is the file that defines keys and clicks, check to make sure everything is right there.

This problem could actually be a simple as an accidental toolbar setting.

In the toolbar, look a the 2 icons with the red x's over them.....one is "Don't select models" and the other is "don't select curves".
If you accidentally hit the model button, that would be your problem. :D

it IS a toolbar accident .i also had this embarising problem which i posted about a few months ago and got the same answer as crunch suggested.

oh ,btw thats a long absence since u joined this forum its almost 2 years

edit:
its wise 2 set an autosave location near the mapspath location.autosave allows radient 2 save ur map every once in a while (in preferences) so u wont lose all ur work in a sustem freeze or a powerfailure or anything similar.
u might have 2 make the screen larger than 800X600 to view the buttons crunch talked about.

Hmmm... I had this as well. I selected models by drawing boxes around them and doing "select inside"
But the thing is, the "dont select" button was not selected, but by pressing it and then unpressing it, Radiant was back to normal again :D
