map loading error

Post by theFixxxer »

My map wont load and i get this error on the logfile
Error:func_rotatingdoor::setsolidtype : SOLID_BSP entity at x2640.00 y3496.00 z244.00 with no bsp model

so i'm guessing something is wrong with a door but i dont know what and there is no entity at that grid reference in the map file.

any help is much appreciated

Hey Fixxxer, this error is caused I believe by a door leak...I had the same problem just a couple of weeks ago. This can be caused by copying the door...its always best to create each door from scratch. What I did was delete the door and then checked if that worked and it did...do then I made a new door and had no problems...that is what I suggest you do.

Well I would go to those coords and recreate the door or the orgin and see if that works.

origin brush

Post by tltrude »

It is caused by having a loose origin brush. If you changed the texture on a door, you may have disconnected the door form its origin brush. seclect the origin brush and click on Selection > Ungroup brush. Then highlight the door brush first, then the origin brush. Then click on Selection > Add to entity to fix it.
