Hey, When I try to compile my map, it doesn't make any of the files that I need, BSP, MIN, etc., Its wierd because just yesterday I compiled a map just fine with(I think) all the saem compiler settings. So I tryed to compile that map(the one that worked) again today, and it did the same thing, didn't make any of the files. Here are the errors that I get, in order:

"MAX_SURFACE_ERROR"

"Error opening ......\fight.bsp , no such file or directory." (well of course not, the BSP stage failed right?)

"MAX_SURFACE_ERROR"

I looked up MAX SRFACE ERROR in the FAQ, and it said that the problem was to much something in a script file, well I don't even have a script file. So does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem? I am using Mbuilder to compile. Thanks

Freddy

That error means you have too many shaders in your main directory move some of the custom paks out to another directory then complile your map .

Afternoon, Freddy.

Could it be MAX_SURFACE_INFO the error you're talking about?
ERROR: MAX_SURFACE_INFO

There is too much shader data in the scripts folder.

SOLUTION: Remove custom pk3s

In this mapping forum there is a Sticky Thread (stays at the top) named, "Sticky: Compiling Errors - List 'em and their solutions". Which is where Scronty got your answer.
