Skinning a ring

hi all,
first time i post here
just want to know how to skin a model ........i have the skb skc and tik file and there isnt any texture when i load it in radiant ......its a ring

You have to 1st make the images you're going to use for the skin then apply them in the modeling program you use.

i have the tga i want to use the problem is just wich program i have to use and how to use it ........gmax, milkshape i dont know how to use ......but just to convert

somewhere on this or the tmt forum you'll find the milkshape import/export plugin get that and put its contents into the C:\Program Files\MilkShape 3D 1.7.0 folder, this will allow you to import and export mohaa models.
You can also use milkshape to texture your model have a look at this basic tutorial should teach you what you need to know to skin

Ok when you've skinned your model save it and click file -> export -> mohaa skb then just enter the name for your model and click ok/export this will create 3 folders in your mohaa/main folder named models, textures & scripts now you should be able to right click in radiant and in the menu you will now see milkshape and then in the submenu the name of your model thats it......
When you wish to distribute put the 3 folders - model, scripts and textures into your maps pk3 file.

thx for the help and the tuts shifty ...... milkshape seems to be hard to use now with the tuts i wish to manage
