How to re-color textures?

Hi there, people... Newbie here, congratulating all of you on this handy, practical and all-well-made site and forum...

And, of course, I've got a question too (even when I'm really starting to get the hang of Radiant, thanks to Nemesis <ovation here> and, now, this site too...)

I've noticed that, once I'm happy with a texture, I should be able to give a new basic color to that texture, having it selected and pressing "K" to open the color's menu... But, by doing that, all I'm doing so far is to re-color all the textures in my map, not just the one selected...

?What am I doing wrong...? ?Can anyone explain me how to do it properly or, since I haven't checked all the posts here yet, redirect me to where the answer to my ignorance might be...?

Thank you in advance...

I'd say, you can't, but would have to make custom textures for each colour u want... As u are knowing Nemesis' page this will be an easy one for u

Everything in your map, that is not been made into some other kind of entity, is part of the "Worldspawn" entity. Changing the proprties of any single worldspawn brush, will change the propreties of all worldspawn brushes.

If you change a brush onto another type of entity (like a script_object) with key N, you can change its color with key k. But, it will only have that color in the editor and not the game.

Another way to add color to your map is to change the color of an entity light. Create a point light and highlight it, then change its color with key K (say to red) or add key/value "_color 1.0 0.0 0.0" with key N. Now you have a red light which will give everything it shines on a red hue.

Hope that helps!

Ok, then... Thanks for the enlightment on this matter, guys...

I guess I was trying to save me some work (hey, who doesn't?)... Off to enlarge Custom Textures Collection now...

Again, thanks for your attention and patience... This place rules, plain and simply...
