preventing console cheats

right ,on my lan i have disabled the console so no1 can type dog ,tele (and all those cheats) and use it in a multiplayer game .and as simple and easy to fix as it seems ,this plan worked for a long time .however ,the time of changes has come .some1 has found how 2 get the console enabled .
so i need another way to block the dog mode .i know that the patch should fix it ,but i dont want to dload an 11mbs patch (on a 56kbs) to fix such a small problem .i remember seeing a few mods out there that do the job .but i just dont remember where .
can any1 help?

M&M, as much as i value your dedication to non-cheating, you are also putting yourself at risk of not beign able to kick ppl or anything rcon like that with no console. someone probably wrote to yuor config file and did something. so go to your unnammed soldier cfg file and make necessary adjustments.
as for using dog, that is extremely obvious, if they didn't want to get caught they'd use health 160 or something. unless you know these people personally, i'd just suggest kicking.
i don't know of any anti-cheats, but you can use reverand from
www.invisiblewarriors.com to try and stop it, i prefer to manually catch cheaters. sv_paks and such.
but it's up to you m8!

well,i am the master
.the server and all the clients are all under my control since its a lan (MUAHAHAHAAAA).so if i want 2 kick some1 ,i just might do it (not through the comp
)
i enable the console only when i am mapping ,besides other than mapping and bot games .the console is useless (for me at least)

well,i want to avoid all the screaming and threatning by just simply disabling it like b4 .
manually catching cheaters on a public server would be better than programs .but this is a lan ,with a limited number of players and almost non changing rules .so a program would seem perfect for this kind of situation

ok, yeah try reverand, it's a pretty good thing. i never use it so i haven't downloadeed it. but i've played on servers that have. it's pretty watchful ill give it that.
lol, yeah you could bawl them out in reality tooo, haha!!!
i guess a program is your best option. and get a new comp to download patches and stuff.
that's next best.
Console Spoofing

Right before my internet was disconeccted, I went around the servers spoofing everyone.
I went on the clan servers and did this in the console..
/name Console
/name [CL]Mirky[Sa]
Then I quickly pressed
~, up(to get to the console name), enter.
pressed "y" typed in "Server shutting down: 2:00 minutes left" pressed enter, and then pressed ~, up(to get back to my original name), enter.
The screen said
Console:Server shutting down: 2:00 minutes left
And the server mod were friggin out, saying "What the hell? Some just hacked the rcon password... we need to restart the server."
I did all kinds of spoofing.. SO MUCH FUN. You should try it.
In the very begining of the mohaa release (moh:aa demo), I usually crashed servers doing this...
(not sure exactly what the command was)
bind L say"YOU SUCK"
and then I just pressed and held letter L on my keyboard for about 10 seconds and it crashed the server. LOL.. I never did it since.

but that is exactly the same reason i deactivated the console on all the pcs

i dont need a fancy program ,just something that will block the most obvious and annoying console cheats .since there are no custom pk3 hacks or anything .i also havent tried it ,and i am gonna test it but from what u'r saying .it seems to be a complicated program (for it to be used by public servers) .tnx 4 the advice

well,i got a few good pcs in the lan .the only thing i need is a faster connectin so i can download patches and other stuff beyond my current set limit of 5mbs (anything more than that takes alot of time)

woah .this file has exceeded my limit .its about 14 mbs .which is way mnore than my limit of 5 mbs .it would take ages on my 56kbs .
i am sure i saw a small program out there somewhere called dog disabler or something like it .but it had dog in the name .i regret it so much that i didnt dload it then
.if any1 has seen it or any similar (low size) program plz tell me

Type 'seta cheats 0' in console, then restart server and be gone with those evil cheats forever

nope ,no good
i have +set cheats 0 in the shortcut of the file and when i enable the console and type cheats .
i get cheats value is "0"

im not opposed to cheating, i think they ought to host cheating servers as well to funnel in those who cheat.

also ,i tried changing the command to
so i can type r_showtris 2 while in a server instead of using devmap ,but i always get cheats protected when i type it .
so when i type cheats ,i see value is "0" default is "1"
if i type into the console
i get the same messasge when i type cheats in the console with an extra parameter ,latched "1"

Is the LAN is right there in your house? Or is it at an office building? Who are the ones cheating? If it's at your house and they are friends who are cheating and you've asked them not to cheat, just don't invite them over.
But if they are siblings, that sure won't work or co-workers...

Are you saying you can't use r_showtris because it is cheat-protected but you can use dog etc?

yes ,quite odd isnt it
!!!!
the presence of the console itself allows u to type
dog tele (and they work) however when i type
r_showtris # it says it is cheat protected and cant be run.if i close the server and type
then type
r_showtris # .it still says its cheat protected .but if i open mohaa and type
then
r_showtris works .
as odd as it may seem ,if i use devmap 1st ,cheats are enabled (value 1 )and
r_showtris works .if i put a mp server 1st cheats are disabled (value 0) and r_showtris doesnt work .and
dog and
tele works in both cases
this is v1.0 i am using ,and patching isnt a possibility !!!!.so i have to use a mod

no,its a home lan .all comps are close together so i can do whatever i want with them .however if i keep kicking friends in thier asses and dont invite them (they guys who chea ,not all of them .im not paranoid) then the game wouldnt be as exciting as it was .alot of players =more fun
cheating =fun for cheater =misery for non-cheaters .
when i had the console disabled the game would be quite exciting ,with all the cheaters FORCED to play w/o cheating !!!
