Graphic Weirdness in Mohaa...

Hi there... This is not actually a problem of my own, it's from a friend, so there's not to much info I can give you right now... But any clues or suspicions on what my cause this trouble may come in handy in trying to solve it...

This friend of mine reports some strange "graphic poppings" during game over wood textures, like the ones that can be seen on this screenshots(hope they're not too dark):

He's on a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 graphic card and this problem started some weeks ago, with no history of previous erratic behaviour on that same machine.... And that's pretty much all the info about the issue I've got at the moment... Now, from what I can recognize, what can be seen through those "poppings" looks like one of the shades of the that wood texture in particular, so I'm guessing some Mtex problem... But that's all I can guess...

Any ideas on this one...? As always, thanks in advance...

is it only in mohaa? if so try reinstalling it.
or maybe the videocard problem, is it overheating?.. try new drivers...?

:? Looks like a Mtex problem? Try lowering the settings in MOHAA and update the card's drivers.

That looks a bit like when one of my old graphix card was singing in the last verse... It was broken and I had to replace it. It could also be that the card is not properly inserted in the slot... can give this type of error. Another possible error is some mod he is using ( as the hand looks a bit re-skinned )... has he tried to uninstall the mods?

And RIC-HARD, I dont think your error is related, but you never know... I've had that error in a lot of my maps and I must say I have no idea what it is.

most probably its overheating !!!!
but try to change the drivers to be on the safe side

i think the effect on the hand is part of the "graphics problem" ,however u can also tr to remove any mods to be sure .
and did this happen after u used some mod/map or maybe a driver update ? or just all of a sudden ?

As I commented, this is not actually a problem of my own, so I can give to many specific details beyond those my friend gave me... (He's the kind of guy who tends to make tech support employees go nuts... He should really go back to Playstation...)

Anyways, I think you guys covered very well every possible cause, and I'm gratefull as allways... (Now comes the really hard part: making this guy understand what he must do...)

I'll keep you posted on any news... (And, off course, I'll post pictures of his graphic card becoming a toaster or a jet engine when that happens... )
