ok now compiling the map.. i did everything the turtorial suggested.. but i dont have a .bsp for my map and it says

I think that error means that you have too many custom maps with too many shaders defined and yes it will stop a map from being compiled . Move the custom pk3 to a different directory for now them compile your map .
ur prolly trying to load it up as a ffa server .
assuming u do use mbuilder (not clear from ur previous posts)
u need to copy/move ur map (the .bsp file) to the main/maps/dm folder in the game
if u have a script (.scr) file ,u should also copy/move it to the same location
If your still stuck on the old MAX_SURFACE_INFO jobbo, all you need to do is remove all custom Pk3's in your mainfolder somewhere else BUT KEEP ENTDEFS.Pk3!, so you should be left with all the Original MoH Pk3's and entdefs.pk3
Put the other Pk3's back only when you need them! then you will know which you do not use and delete them, SO! it is also a way of cleaning the old hard drive
thanks it helped..... you know how the turtorial suggests to autosave and stuff to c:\progamfiles\eagames\mohha\main\maps
it comes up and says cant save to maps because its read only... so i changed the properties on the folder but it changes it back to read only
thanks that worked... now when i compile is the map supposed to be in the game when i start it up or do i have to move the .bsp and .prt and stuff somewhere else
