Hi everyone,

I have some walls textured and they look ok in radiant. When I go into the game to test the map the walls are luminous yellow. If I change the texture they are fine again. whats causing them to go yellow when I use one texture but ok if I use another texture?

This is because the paths on the shader are not correct, or you don't have a shader for this texure. Make sure you have selected for Radiant to not show you the non-shader textures.

Or maybe the paths in the shader are not correct. The yellow wallis becuse the game can't find the texture  !

My radiant is set up with 'Show shader textures' selected. The three boxes below this, including 'show non shader images' aren't selected is that what you mean?

Yeah, that's what I meant...

So, check the shader paths (post it here, if you want). Is it a custom texure?

What version of MOH are you using? Spearhead textures don't show up in AA in-game.

Hi again,

i'm using mohaa v1.11. It isnt a custom texture (at least i don't think it is, I didn't make it if thats what you mean) it was a standard texture that I found when I typed metal in the white box. the texture in question is 'fuel pipe'

Thanks for the help guys,

Ah, that explains it. 'Fuel pipe' is a Spearhead texture. You could always copy the image and shader over to mohaa.

It's ok I will just stick with a different texture but at least I now know for the future if it happens again

Thanks - Kate

Or you have SH installed (in this case, always remove the mainta folder b4 start working) or this texture came from a custom pk3 (in this case, remove all custom pk3 from your main folder)

No it's a SH texture, I know this because I did the same.

Remove the mainta folder, hmmm, seems a bit extreme.

The editor will find textures from any folder that starts with the name "main", so jv_map's rename would not work--try "xmainta". You should create a folder named "temp" in mohaa/main to put all non-oringinal pk3 files while you are using the editor.

The time to worry is when you finish the map and make your final pk3. If your map includes any missing custom textures, people that get your map will see a lot of yellow brushes!

How about: 'xmaintaradiantcantfindmenanananaboobooboo'

Read: boobooboo in three letter bits, not four.
