what's the usage of tether? can i use it to leash allies to the player like so?

$ally2.distance = 100
$ally1 tether $player
$ally2 tether $player
i'd just prefer to not have to go through the whole process detailed in the ai tutorial here....

Yes, but the entire leash concept is pretty useless I think... it only determines which pathnodes the AI will consider for cover. Hence tethering doesn't have any effect if the bot isn't attacking anyone or if his type_attack is not cover.

gotcha, so it'd be better to use the method in ai_tutorial? it's what i;ve been using but i wondered about tethering.
