MSN Glitch

Im not encouraging everyone to USE this or benefit off of this... but i have noticed that if you run MSN while playing in a game... If you get a message or any type of 'pop-up' box appears in the lower right hand corner of the screen, your mohaa screen gets all glitchy and you can see through walls. Basically, an undetectable, Temporary Wallhack. I was wondering why this happens and if there would be any way of creating a mod to stop this...

it isn't the game it is WIndows and the way the MSN pop-up box takes priority - a mod o stop this happening ingame would be hard, but a simple mod that stops u running game+MSN at the same time would be easy - say MSN is called 'msnmsgr' in the programs running list, a simple thing would be (in non-programming terms)
if 'msnmsgr' is running, terminate msnmsgr
if u made a program like this, when u start up the game MSN would close.
and servers could require the small mod to be installed

Always knew that microsoft was behind this vile treachery...
I wouldn't be surprised if incoming mail in Outlook Express made your crosshair aim right at your opponent's head.
You could contact the DMW guys.

Well, i could just disable the pop-ups in the msn options, but that way i wouldn't know who's talking to me, what they said, and who just signed in... defeating the purpose of leaving msn on while in game!
I don't know if this does the same thing with AIM with their pop-up windows but the msn is gettin on my nerves

I'm not going to lie, that has happened in some cases. I was just strolling along and 'WAM' msn pops up, screen glitches out, and i see an enemy on the other side of the wall..... Boy, i felt guilty... now that he's dead.

Yes. But the client programs have to report back to the server application to assure that they're running.
It would be better to integrate such an application in an anticheat program, so that you don't have to open 2 or 3 programs before you enter a server

u should try Trillain: AIM, ICQ, MSN, IRC and Yahoo! Instant Messanging all in one program, and it is fully featured

1.) Just incase the girlfriend comes on

2.) Incase someone has important news for me (which has happened numerous times)
3.) Incase some of my clanmembers who don't have mics and dont have me on gamespy need to tell me something. pretty lame excuse, seeing as how you can chat in teamspeak, but i wouldnt know if i got a message if they sent it.
