Ok Being a woman myself she will cool off well within a month but a little creeping will go a long way. Offer to do the housework & run errands and genrally pamper her. make your mum feel special promise her your sorry for whatever you did and after a few days of that try asking if you can use the pc again.

btw ,this process is not only useful in getting urself "un-grounded" ,its quite useful in other situations also .i managed to talk my parents into getting DSL with this and other techniques
I also managed to talk my parents into getting ADSL, owyeah also a second puter (almost a half year older then the last one) soon I will get extra 256 mbram, But I already had 256 lol .
