A little bit of help needed

I have made a map that is basically finished with an obj of destroying a train. The German armoured entity train vehicles/bp44train.tik

However when the train is destroyed i currently have no destroyed train or anything that can replace the good train once its destroyed.

Does anyone know, or can make, a destroyed train based on the armoured train that i could use. Its the last part of the map that needs work before a final compile.

Thx for your help.

I think the only way is to remodel the train so it is destroyed, and then when the blast goes switch models. But if you cant model, then dont ask me!

Ok i have 2 solutions for you and i will admit niether one of them will do what you want to do but my second idea would still be very very cool.

Idea one just retexture the train you are using to try and make it apear damaged. Im sure this will be somewhat difficult but a few blast marks may just do the trick.

Idea two, Blow it up with a really really.....Really large explosion. Large enough to blast that train into so many small pieces no one would really expect there to be anything left of it.

Hope you go with idea number 2 cuz we all like large explosions

You don't really need a destroyed train car, just a pile of smoking, burning, twisted metal with train wheels/axles sticking out. Make the whole pile a script_object. You could also turn an armored car over and add that under the pile.

That is a great idea T but please dont forget to mention the really big explosion, they are so cool  .

I have to go with Random,

We all LOVE big explosions, train explosions can be supremely spectacular, one blew up in North Korea a few weeks back:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/3649655.stm

It flattened a couple of square miles,

So be sure to make it almost nuclear in its effects :)

EDIT: was just reading that news page I posted and they link to this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_depth/wor ... efault.stm

Is it only me or are they giving out too much info ?

Ive tried making a pile of debris as tltrude suggested but tbh it just looked crap.

I think the explosion i have for it atm is sufficient, its heft enough for my likeling without going over.

As fir the r/l train explosion, that was caused by the chemicals that ot was carrying, not the engine part of the train, so may be abit unrealistic for that to happen in my map this time.

Anyway, looks like im gonna have to have several more attempts at making a realisitc looking train wreck, however i do like the idea of an upside down armoured car.

Thc for y our help
