Triggered Doors

Post by egohavoc »

Okay, I know how to make a door triggered. Easy.

But my problem is I can't set some doors so they can only be triggered. My check for "triggered" in my entity properties window is greyed out. Along w/ a lot of buttons. Also all except door funcs won't work. Is there something I can do to fix this? Or at least a different way of making the door triggered.

I already have this on the door:

I've already got the target and target name setup and the button works. Just I can open and close the door by pressing action also. Does anyone follow me? :?

*edit* The triggered feature isn't working on my older maps that i've used it on as well.. is there something I can enable to fix this or something?

have you made them func_rotatingdoors or just func_doors? and when all else fails, remove all your custom pk3's and redo entdfs!

Okay well.. nevermind. I just realized i moved my etndfs file out of my main folder to comile maps (was getting texture errors)

that's funny though.. That just fixed about 25 of my problems

entdefs.pk3

Inside the entdefs.pk3 there is a folder named "code". It has files that end with .ccp and they can be opened with a text program like Notepad. The "code" folder can be used as an uncompressed folder in main and you can add comments to the entity defintions in the .ccp files.
