ok, here is my prob, I am using masked textures right? I fit them to my brush with ctrl-f and the when I run my map there is a band at the top of the texture, very thin but very visible... When is it and how do I get rid of it? And another thing: my masked gate is like 2 thin gates stuck together with a space in betwen (when you look at a profile of the gate in the game) Do I need a brush at the ends of the gate to stop this? What is the best way to do so?
Thanks!

Sounds like u didn't use no draw on 5 of the sides.
Use ur masked texture on one side and no draw on the other 5 sides.

U might try not hitting ctrl f and adjust your masked texture with the surface inspector. Not sure but its something to try.

You can fit the texture to the face then lower the top slightly to get rid of that line it has something to do with a dds texture I think a mipmap or some such sillyness .

I tryed to lower the top, but it stil occured guess I will live with it for now. Also, how do I add dimension to my single face? It is so thin, any way to make it thicker?
thanks

Its a compromise, the texture might look a little thin close up, something you might have to live with.
Hogleg gave you perfect advice, I cant really add anything to it

fit the face

Try this.........
Make the brush like one or two unit larger than you need at the top. Then do fit the face again and readjust the brush to the oringial size.
Or.....
Turn off texture > lock > moves and move the brush until the texture looks right. Then turn the lock back on and move the brush back into place.
