.Map :: MoHAA Mapping

well i messed with my radient settings and now i have it tooled so i can't select entities the normal way. liek ican;t shift-left click on say a german in my map and he'll be selected. it'll go riught through him to th wall. it's driving me crazy, how can i fix this?

yeah ,i remember i ran across this problem and i was so frustrated !!!
i even posted it here ,and i was told to click on the something on the toolbar ,but im not quite sure what it was (it was along time ago)

perhaps that ruler looking like icon .i really dont remember what it was .if it doesnt work, keep playing with those toolbar icons ,one of them must work

How about the button with model written on it and a big red x going through it ? It is beside the one with curve written on it and also a big red x going though it .

If my memory serves correctly, it is the eye at the far right of the toolbar. It gas three settings, 1, 2 and numberless. the one with no number is the one you want

nah ,its not that .thats for camera control ,i.e moving in the 3d window .

I find when anything goes wierd in radiant i just shut down the comp and it usually sorts it

ok, i need to know what file is the config file, i've screwed up a lot of other crap now....liek the other cameraq settins... i've tried the radient settings file but that's only keys, where does it save preferences?

edit: also, i know THIS is noob, but do i need entdefs in mainta and main?
because it's not working at all. i remember at first i had this prob because entdefs were in too many folders, i've tried to get rid of them all and replace only a few. but it's not working.

most probably the entdefs file doesnt work is because the paths arent set correctly !!
there is a file called default.q4e which has all the project setings.
if u made a new project than look for files with .q4e extention .(right?)

but ,the best approach to fix radient when it screws like that is to just reinstall it.
i think there was a file stored somewhere in windows where the settings are put. i was unable to find it,but when i replaced windows the settings were made to default.thats how i know i exists

I think settings are put in the registry.

ya i think i'll just reinstall. it's more trouble than it's worth.

ok this is REALLY weird. i did a COMPLETE reinstall of the RAdient and MBuilder etc. and it still does it! i have the entdefs working after the reinstall but it's still messed, the only way i can select entities is with the entity editor.

what file do i need to replace? i have a working copy of the SDK at my other comp but i'd rather not wait an hour for it to email or copy to CD.
